A PARENTING MUST DO: Have you got a working tempering valve installed?
With young children being a part of any home it is essential to ensure your hot water system is fitted with an operational tempering valve. These valves limit the scalding temperature of your hot water system, ensuring your loved ones avoid any nasty burns from the hot water tap in your home.
How do I check? Safely run your hot water tap to its highest temperature capacity. Place a thermometer under the stream of hot water. The temperature should be within a range of 48-50°C. If water temperature is in excess of 50°C a tempering valve installation may be required for your safety.
